Little Giveaway Libraries for Young Readers

The Little Giveaway Libraries for Young Readers are a simple way to help family's build their home library. Reading Ready Pittsburgh builds, fills, and maintains the little libraries in the Mon Valley. Families are invited to take books from the little giveaway library to add to their home libraries and read with their children.

With the financial assistance of Steel Valley Rotary and the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, we installed 10  Little Giveaway Libraries for Young Readers in Homestead, Braddock, Swissvale, Munhall and Rankin.

All the gently used books have been donated directly to Reading Ready Pittsburgh, Most recently, donations to our little libraries have come from many generous local families as well as Franklin Elementary School (North Allegh. SD), Jefferson Elementary School (Mt. Leb. SD), Carnegie Library of Homestead and, White Whale Bookstore in Bloomfield.
